Gardner Family Chiropractic – Rotary Member Dr. Michele Gardner will host an interactive Waypoint with trivia game raising awareness opiate abuse.  She has donated a free family consultation for everyone who registers by October 16th!  And, she will provide a discounted family consultation for everyone who completes the hike.

Safe Communities Coalition of Hunterdon and Somerset County – Will Host a Waypoint

Fastsigns of Flemington – Rotary Member Jay Hanigan of Fast Signs donated the logo design for Hikes Not Heroin and the Horizon Rotary eClub, and has provided design and production of our promotional Stickers, Wrist Bands, and Signs

Patton, Heidi & Associates – Rotary Members Michelle Heide and Joseph Patton, of Patton, Heide & Associates Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., are sponsoring a Gateway Waypoint with FREE WATER!  They are also assisting with parking and planning.  Michelle Heidi is personally coordinating Red Ribbon Tributes in honor of loved ones affected by heroin. If you wish to personalize your Red Ribbon Tribute, you may make advanced arrangements to provide a small personalized tribute that may be tied to the tree with your red ribbon.  (Examples:  poems, photos, memorials, artwork…).  Contact horizoneclub@gmail.com or Michelle Heide at (908) 930.8989 to privately request a personalized Red Ribbon Tribute.  Only legally authorized next-of-kin may elect to disclose the identity of anyone lost to heroin, after providing written consent.

Shanahan & Voigt, LLC Attorneys at Law – Rotary Member and Attorney Nicole Voigt was inspired to do something about Hunterdon County’s heroin epidemic, conceived of Hikes Not Heroin, and is President of the Horizon Rotary eClub.  Nicole and the eClub are leading the creation and organization of the October 21st event.  Shanahan & Voigt, LLC staff are assisting with coordinating this event.  Attorney Robert J. Shanahan, Jr. of Shanahan & Voigt, LLC will host a 1st Amendment Waypoint – visit our waypoint to draw, write, or express your thoughts about heroin abuse in the interactive display.  Contact Nicole at horizoneclub@gmail.com.

Barkley’s Gourmet – This is a Dog Friendly Park and a Dog Friendly Hike!  Thank’s Barkley’s Gourmet, for sponsoring dog drinking stations along the trails.  Be sure to find Barkley’s Gourmet on your hiking journey for some doggie-goods-give-aways!

Music Together Family & Friends – Music Together Family & Friends will host a Waypoint with drums to play and a postcard with a FREE APP WITH MUSIC!

Brittney Reeb, a local artist, will be displaying artwork at the event and having an interactive painting experience!  Anyone who wants to try “pouring” can pour onto a community canvas.

At the end I will donate this canvas to whomever enters the drawing for the canvas.  Expressing yourself through art and finding ways to occupy your time helps with depression, anxiety and other debilitating feelings.  Thanks, Brittney!

Prevention Resources, Inc. will host a Waypoint with educational information about their work to make our community healthier and safer.  Increase your understanding and awareness of the epidemic occurring in New Jersey.  All proceeds from this event are being donated to Prevention Resources, Inc.
